| 2 cups unsifted white flour | 3/4 tsp salt | 3/4 tsp baking soda |
| 1/4 tsp baking powder | 2 eggs | 3/4 cup brown sugar |
| 3/4 cup corn oil | 3/4 tsp vanilla extract | 1-1/3 cups prepared fruit or vegetables |
| 1-1/2 tsps cinnamon | 1-1/2 tsps ground ginger | 1/3 cup poppy seeds |
| 3/4 cup walnuts, toasted, chopped | ||
| 1 | Sift together the flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. |
| 2 | In a separate bowl, whip the eggs with the sugar and oil. Stir in the vanilla, whatever fruits or vegetables you are using, the spices, and the poppy seeds. Then add the flour mixture and the nuts. Do not overmix. |
