Cinnamon-Apple Frozen Yogurt

INGREDIENTS:
2 small tart apples, peeled, cored and cut into wedges 1-1/2 teaspoons lemon juice 1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cornstarch 1 cup low-fat milk 1/2 cup red-hot cinnamon candies
1 cup plain low-fat yogurt, stirred



1 In a blender or food processor fitted with a metal blade, combine apple wedges and lemon juice. Process until pureed; set aside. In medium saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Stir in milk and cinnamon candies. Cook and stir over medium-low heat until mixture simmers. Cook and stir 1 minute longer or until cinnamon candies are dissolved. Remove from heat; stir in pureed apples. Cool; stir in yougurt. Freeze in ice cream maker according to manufacturer's directions.
