| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 lb ground beef | 1 lb ground pork | 1 cup soft bread crumbs |
| 1/4 cup milk | 2 eggs | 1/2 tsp oregano |
| 1/2 tsp cumin | 3 tsp salt | 1/2 cup minced onion |
| 2 tbsp oil | 1/2 cup minced green pepper | 2 tbsp flour |
| 2 (8-oz) cans tomato sauce | 1 cup water | 1/2 tsp black pepper |

| 1 | Mix together first 7 ingredients with 2 tsp salt; form into balls. Saute onion in oil for 3 minutes over medium heat in 3-qt. saucepan; add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Add meatballs. Cover; cook over low heat for 40 minutes. Serve as appetizer with toothpicks or as main dish over noodles or rice. |
