| 1 lb ground beef | 1 medium onion, finely chopped | 1 tsp fat |
| 1 tsp salt | 1 to 2 tsp chili powder | 1/4 tsp pepper |
| 1 lb can tomatoes | 1 lb can pinto or red kidney beans, drained | 1/4 cup catsup |
| 1 | Brown ground beef and onion in hot fat in a skillet. Add remaining ingredients. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, 20 to 30 minutes. Serve hot. |
