| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 tbsp shortening | 1 (3 to 6-lb) pork roast | salt |
| pepper | 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce with cheese | 1 small onion, finely chopped |
| 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce | 1/8 tsp each, garlic powder, oregano, marjoram, basil and red pepper | |
| 1 | Heat skillet until hot; add shortening. Brown meat on all sides. Season with salt and pepper; place in roasting pan with a tight cover or make tent with aluminum foil. Bake 2 hours at 300 F.; drain off grease. Combine remaining ingredients; heat to boiling and pour on meat. Cover tightly; bake 2 hours longer or until tender. |
