Ponca City Oatmeal Drop Biscuits

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup flour 3 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp shortening 1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats 1 beaten eggs
1/3 cup milk 2 tbsp honey



1 In mixing bowl, thoroughly stir the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in oats. Combine egg, milk and honey; add all at once to dry mixture. Stir just until moistened. Drop by spoonfuls on greased baking sheet, making 6 large shortcakes or 10 smaller biscuits.
